Structure in a Turkish garden

The Museum Hotel in Cappadocia, Turkey is a beautiful spot to either stay or have a meal while visiting the incredible rock formations and cave dwellings of this region. If you choose to stay at the Museum Hotel, be sure to have an early morning breakfast one on the terrace (5:30) and watch the 100+ balloons floating into the pre-dawn sky, with bursts of fire illuminating the the colorful balloons as you watch the sun rise. Truly a site not to be missed.

The small gardens of the Museum Hotel give new definition to ‘structure’ in your garden. While I didn’t have the time to find out what each of the structures in the garden were or how old they were, I did take some pics of some of the more beautiful gardens I discovered. There were interesting and assorted structures at every turn – pots, wheels, columns, logs – all amongst beautiful roses. It was like being in a museum – in a garden.

While there is potential for the garden to be too busy with all of this structure, all of these artifacts worked for me and were fitting for the environment, region – and hotel name.
